Our History
2000 HiTEK Urethane Global Ltd. founded by Kelly Borden and Trevor Fritz.
2000 HiTEK opens the doors to it’s 1000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Nisku, Alberta.
2000 Custom urethane production was immediately in full force with HiTEK’s first pouring oven, now known as “The Beast”.
2001 Within one year of production HiTEK relocates to a new 5000 sq. ft. facility and doubles it’s oven capacity.
2007 HiTEK builds new 8600 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Nisku, and once again, doubles it’s oven capacity.
2012 HiTEK Urethane becomes both API and ISO registered.

Kelly Borden
Kelly Borden has over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, and 20 years experience of urethane manufacturing. It was his experience in the oilpatch that inspired Kelly to form HiTEK Urethane as he realized the far-reaching capabilities custom urethane products could have within the industry.

Trevor Fritz
Trevor Fritz, Vice President and Co-Founder, brings over 20 years of urethane manufacturing experience to the company. With his extensive knowledge in urethane design and manufacturing, Trevor oversees all aspects of HiTEK products, service and quality, as Chief Operations Officer.

Darak Fritz has been with HiTEK for over 15 years as General Manager. Ensuring that innovation is at the forefront of our business, he is continually driving HiTEK to push the boundaries, and deliver the most effective urethane solution for every project challenge.
